A Major Colour player Of SS18.

I absolutely adore this colour I have since a little girl and funnily was one of my dad’s favourite colours! Well it’s to be one of the big hitters for Spring/Summer 2018 .

What is its meaning – The story of lilac, according to Greek mythology, begins with a beautiful nymph named Syringa (lilac’s botanical name). Captivated by her beauty, Pan, the god of the forests and fields, chased Syringa through the forest. Frightened by Pan’s affections, Syringa escaped him by turning herself into an aromatic bush – the flower we now refer to as lilac. Which I happen to grow in my garden and the fragrance is heavenly!

So lilac represents purity – youthful innocence and a deeper hue reflects the first emotions of love

This colour is all over the catwalk in beautiful dresses, tops, knitwear and amazing tailored pieces! It’s a colour that suits every skintone and is such a soothing elegant colour!

I have always been a huge fan as I like how lilac looks and makes me feel, hence why it is a colour in my bedroom, I have bought a few things over the past few months home and clothes pieces which I will share with you on my Instagram account and my shop here on my blog. Plus if it’s good enough for Victoria Beckham ( see above) I can truly get on board.

I think lilac is great on children and Adults, though I feel a Lavender hue is a bit more grown up and sophisticated for ladies ( Below Michael Kors)

If you feel this is a little outside your comfort zone, why not try a shoe, bag, scarf or earrings, there is so much choice out there at the moment!

Let me know what pieces you will be trying in this beautiful colour? Be Bold lovelies
