An escape from London in Chelsea?

I went for some cocktails and an early dinner at the Ivy Chelsea Garden, I had seen all the photos of the flowers outside and thought it looked inviting, so wanted to see would it be an escape from London in Chelsea?

I can honestly say I fell in love with it and here’s why, when you first enter and we were an hour early we sat in the bar area perusing the cocktail menu. The staff were so welcoming, and attentive, they are highly professional and would swoop in and out without causing any interference.

The bar is cute and cozy. We each picked a cocktail, which was delivered to our table and looked delightful. I had picked the Lavender lady, which looked creamy, pretty and elegant. The girls both ordered the

Angel’s share. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and having a good catch up before we were collected and taken to our table for dinner

We were taken to the Orangery which is absolutely beautiful, with its botanical décor and candles, beautiful stone fire and views of the beautiful garden and outside dining area. It is like a complete escape, and we all kept saying how we couldn’t believe we were on the Kings road and in London! it was just sublime!

Once we were seated our waitress served us our wine and water, we had already decided to share a lovely bottle of white wine, and handed us the menu, So we sipped on this whilst we perused the vast food available.

To be honest we were so hungry  and when you have been shopping and worked up an appetite,  you just want to chill, and have comfort food, what do you go for…. yes we went for the Ivy Burger and thick cut chips! As you can see it was sumptuous and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

Once we had time to digest dinner, our lovely waitress brought us the dessert menu, we were of the attitude “let’s just do it” so we did, all of us fancied something light, but chocolaty, so we went for the chocolate bombe! This is divine as it’s a Melting chocolate bombe with a vanilla ice cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce! I have loaded the video onto my Instagram, you have to see the whole spectacle yourself! It’s Fabulous! It is really light and flavoured with the hot caramel sauce, Delicious!

I can honestly say if you have never been you really must! It truly is such a relaxing venue, the food is delicious and the service is top notch! It is a very welcoming and beautiful space and I want to go back this summer and try the outside dining area as it’s truly beautiful! It’s a place for family, friends or even a romantic dinner for two! And the staff know exactly where to seat you dependent on whom you are with.

I can happily say – “Ivy Chelsea Garden” – “I will be back!”
