Hi Lovelies! I had the most fabulous Holiday at the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, let me share with you and why you must go!
We flew in Monday Evening, we arrived at the hotel where we didn’t need to worry about our luggage, we were guided to the check-in desk, where we were greeted warmly, checked in and given our room key, its no ordinary key it is a wristband that contains your key, and also how you can charge items to your room by scanning your wristband. How great is it not to worry about losing a key card anymore! To me, this was the first step to pure relaxation! So off we went to our room, whereby we went through the lobby which was very busy and they had an amazing singer performing. And as with all hard rock properties, you are greeted with the most gorgeous fragrance!
We arrived at our room where our luggage was waiting, wow what a room, we had booked a Silver twin it had an amazing view of the other tower, and the sea, we had two sinks with fabulous mirrors, the shower was behind one door, the toilet behind another, they had this amazing Mary Quant style tile work, the white tiles sparkled, I thought it was gorgeous. Sadly they had put us in a room with a king size bed, which I shared with my mum that night, we arrived late so spoke to them and they moved us the next morning to a new twin room, which sadly was smaller and had a pool and partial sea view, but it was still fabulous and comfortable! Their beds are amazing, I dare you not to sleep well on them!
The next morning we headed off downstairs to breakfast, we were told it is a buffet and you can just help your self! Well oh my goodness! I was not prepared for the outstanding variety on offer! Your eggs made any way you like, an omelette station, fresh cheese and meats, loaves of bread and rolls. Cooked breakfast choices, the vast array of fruit, yoghurt, a cereal station, pastries, doughnuts, and even sweets and a cake! I mean there is literally everything you could want and more, and in my week there I sampled a lot! Have to say the doughnuts were the best I ever tasted!
I was so excited to check out the pool as being a mermaid in a past life any hotel I stay out has to have a pool, and I was so looking forward to being able to just relax and read a good book! There are three pools, on our first day we went to the adult only pool, it was busy until the beach club/pool opens and then it becomes quieter. The beds are comfy and there is such lovely fragrances floating around from all the surrounding plants and flowers! I started to read a fantastic book and was able to really relax.
We decided to head off for a coffee and a little spot of lunch where we located the coffee/sandwich shop! Wow wow is all I can say, what they have on offer here is amazing and lots of fresh cakes and smoothies. We went here every day either for a smoothie or a delicious coffee, have to say the Canarian coffee is just amazing! The staff here are so lovely and taught us how to make one of these legendary coffees!
In the afternoon we decided to have a little walk around the hotel and outside the complex and picked a lovely little Italian that we would head to that evening for dinner. We headed back to the complex and went to the family pool, which I have to say we loved and that became our little spot for the rest of the week! They have these gorgeous comfy day beds! They have entertainment on in the morning or afternoon! It’s not your “Hey baby” entertainment, oh no! We had a pianist one morning, then another morning there was a guitarist playing the Spanish guitar which was stunning! Then in the afternoon, we had dancers and acrobats!
We went to a lovely local Italian, the food here was to die for and lovely cocktails, and rustic setting as there are a few little restaurants outside the complex, so perfect if you are on a budget or fancy something different. I also recommend Titanic pizzeria, they do other dishes than just pizza such as chicken, pasta, amazing cocktails and lethal measures! You have been warned lol
At the Hardrock there is a Japanese restaurant, Steak restaurant, Tapas restaurant, sports bar and buffet if you are full board. We managed to get to the steak restaurant and the Japanese restaurant whilst we were there, both were utterly fabulous. The Japanese restaurant was my favourite with Chef Estefi, where we sat with 5 other lovely guests whilst she cooked our delicious dinner. It was absolutely a taste sensation, and even all these months later I sit dreaming about that meal!
Pool bar & restaurant – They have lovely little bites here, healthy and naughty and an amazing ray of cocktails, my favourite was the Chocorock, YUM! they also deliver to your sunbed so that is even better, especially when you have a comfy day bed!
The Roof Top Bar
This was my favourite little spot! Amazing views towards the mountains and the sea, where you can see gorgeous sunsets. The cocktail list is extensive and delicious! They had a Gin & Burger night, with dancers on rollers skates and 60’s music which was really good fun! I have videos of the dancers on my Instagram
They have 3 pools, one is the family pool, one is an adult only and then there is the Lagoon Pool, this is closed to under 18s if there is an Ibiza pool party, but hotel guests over 18 can attend! it was great fun!! You can also see Videos of this on my Instagram as they had Roger Sanchez DJing
The rock spa with its Thermal Water area is just relaxation heaven, we thoroughly enjoyed this, all the different jets, the ice room and plunge pools, just bliss! We also had manicures, which was a joy and so had lovely sparkly nails in time for dinner!
They have a Rock Shop with all their merchandise and more, always worth a look around and picking something fabulous up!
I truly had a wonderfully relaxing holiday here, everyone was lovely, the food, the pools, the weather! it was just bliss, I cannot encourage you enough to stay here when you next go to Tenerife! I hope Hard Rock it’s an Hasta Luego from me!
